Growing Up Boulder’s Child-Friendly City Map Launch & 10-Year Celebration
May 4, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Celebrate the launch of Boulder’s first child-friendly city map and the 10th year anniversary of Growing Up Boulder, Boulder’s child and youth-friendly city initiative! Our child-friendly city map is a printed (and soon-to-be digital) map designed BY and FOR children and families, and it is the first of its kind in the nation. Enjoy music by Jeff and Paige, as well as fun, interactive activities for kids. Every family will go home with a free copy of the bilingual map, which was created with input from more than 600 children and families!
Growing Up Boulder (GUB) is a not-for-profit program out of the University of Colorado, and we get kids’ voices in city planning. GUB is a partnership with University of Colorado, the City of Boulder, and Boulder Valley School District. Because equity is at the foundation of our work, we have offered this event and the maps for free; however, the event and the maps cost thousands of dollars to create.
Donations of $10 per human over 2 years of age are greatly appreciated! Please click here to donate >> https://giving.cu.edu/fund/gub-cedar-fund
